CAP is led by George Bachrach, Steve Crosby, Ira Jackson, and Judith Young


George Bachrach   Bachrach is an attorney, former three-term state senator and former president of the Environmental League of Massachusetts. He has over twenty years of teaching experience as an adjunct professor at Boston University’s School of Journalism and has been a frequent commentator for Boston media.

Steve Crosby   Crosby served most recently as the Founding Chair of the Mass Gaming Commission, and was before that the Founding Dean of the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies. His career has spanned several private sector entrepreneurial ventures in publishing and high tech, while his public sector career has also included serving as chief of staff to former Governor Jane Swift, and as Secretary of Administration and Finance under Governor Paul Cellucci.

Steve Crosby

Crosby served most recently as the Founding Chair of the Mass Gaming Commission, and was before that the Founding Dean of the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies. His career has spanned several private sector entrepreneurial ventures in publishing and high tech, while his public sector career has also included serving as chief of staff to former Governor Jane Swift, and as Secretary of Administration and Finance under Governor Paul Cellucci.

Ira Jackson   Jackson served as chief of staff to Boston Mayor Kevin White, Commissioner of Revenue under MA Gov. Michael Dukakis, Executive Vice-President at Bank of Boston, Senior Associate Dean at Harvard’s JFK School of Government, Dean of the Peter Drucker School of Management at the Claremont Colleges, Vice Provost of UMass Boston, and EVP of Brandeis University. He is a Visiting Lecturer at Harvard and will be co-teaching an undergraduate course in the fall on leadership and social change.

Ira Jackson

Jackson served as chief of staff to Boston Mayor Kevin White, Commissioner of Revenue under MA Gov. Michael Dukakis, Executive Vice-President at Bank of Boston, Senior Associate Dean at Harvard’s JFK School of Government, Dean of the Peter Drucker School of Management at the Claremont Colleges, Vice Provost of UMass Boston, and EVP of Brandeis University. Judith Young   Young is a licensed attorney and Native Nevadan, who has lived in Massachusetts for the last decade. She has experience in the fields of case management, social justice, consumer protection, gambling law, and legislative policy making. Most recently, Young was a Legislative Project Manager for a Corporation seeking to expand its business into the Connecticut marketplace.

Judith Young

Young is a licensed attorney and Native Nevadan, who has lived in Massachusetts for the last decade. She has experience in the fields of case management, social justice, consumer protection, gambling law, and legislative policy making. Most recently, Young was a Legislative Project Manager for a Corporation seeking to expand its business into the Connecticut marketplace.

Robert “Bob” Turner, Director of Pinnacle Projects   Bob Turner is a Research Fellow at the McCormack Graduate School Dean's Office. He helps with public relations and communications initiatives, which includes organizing the annual Robert Wood Lectureship and public debates for candidates running for office. He previously worked as the Deputy Editor of The Boston Globe's editorial page and State House Bureau Chief and was an op ed columnist for 15 years. He is the author of two books. He has a bachelor’s degree from Columbia College and master’s from Harvard University's Kennedy School.
